Carolyn Shiels
Carolyn Shiels is the Principal Solicitor of Shiels Legal.
She has had over 27 years in prosecuting criminal matters for both the NSW Police Force and 14 years with the Office of the Department of Public Prosecutions. Since establishing her own practice, Family Law has been a large part of her interest and work. She is well equipped to deal with any Criminal, Traffic, or Family or Personal Violence matter, and her experience in advocacy is extensive and renowned.
Carolyn has a personal commitment to providing assistance to those affected by matters within the Family Court. This extends further into Child Support reviews and applications. As a parent who has personally experienced the cost, time, disruptions to careers, health and financial security that Family Court actions cause, Carolyn will ensure a cost-effective and compassionate approach to Family Court litigation.
Brittany Berry
Brittany is in her final year of a Bachelor of Laws/ Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies (majoring in Global Media and communication) at the University of Wollongong and is looking to obtain her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
Brittany commenced her time at Shiels Legal in early 2020 where as a paralegal she has assisted clients in a wide range of matters within property, family and criminal law.
Outside of work Brittany enjoys spending time at the beach and playing netball.
